A collection of concept artwork from the canceled Pixar film ‘Newt‘ was revealed by a former employee yesterday, Katy Wu. The images are breathtaking and make us even more disappointed that the film is no longer being developed. A special thanks to PixarBlog for the heads up. Take a look at the images below.

It really is a shame that Gary Rydstrom‘s (director of Lifted) feature film had to be cancelled. We believe it had true potential to be a Pixar classic. The artwork shown above and on the Disney Pixar Facebook page certainly back our opinion up. Maybe it will be brought back to life someday… we hope so!

What do you think of the concept artwork for Newt? Disappointed it is no longer in production? Think the studio will ever resurrect it? Leave your thoughts below!
