The main character, Merida, in the upcoming Pixar film ‘Brave‘, will soon be appearing in person at select Disney Parks. The Disney Parks Blog announced today that Merida and the three bear cubs are coming to Magic Kingdom Park, specifically the Fairytale Garden. Young visitors will have the chance to practice their archery skills during the wait to meet the Princess. For those visiting Disneyland, the group will be showing up in Fantasyland near the ‘It’s a Small World‘ attraction.
According to Creative Director Reed Jones, “These new play and greet experiences at both parks will immerse our guests in ‘Brave,’ giving them the opportunity to be a part of Merida’s Scottish clan. And we’re all excited to have the bear cubs join Merida with their silly antics, creating a whole new way to bring our beloved Disney Characters to life.”
“Regardless of where they find Merida,” said Reed, “Guests are really going to fall in love with her and the bears.”
The plan is to have Rapunzel move from Fairytale Garden on April 15th and the Brave characters will begin showing up sometime after that. Will you be visiting Disney World or Disneyland this summer? Excited to meet Merida? What do you think of the concept art? Leave your thoughts below!
